Queen Elizabeth National Park

Overview

Crater lakes, savannah and the Kazinga Channel linking Lakes Edward and George. The channel boat cruise passes hippo pods, buffalo and one of the densest concentrations of water birds in Africa. The park records over 600 bird species. In the remote Ishasha sector, lions rest in fig trees, a behaviour seen in only a handful of places worldwide.
