Wildlife beside the Nile at Murchison Falls, Uganda

Murchison Falls

Overview

Uganda's largest national park, split by the Victoria Nile as it forces through a seven-metre gap and drops in a thunderous plume. A launch cruise runs to the base of the falls past crocodiles and elephants on the bank. North of the river, open savannah carries giraffe, lion and buffalo. Rhino tracking on foot at nearby Ziwa sanctuary is easily added.
