Overview

Kibale Forest holds the highest primate density in Africa, and chimpanzee tracking here reaches habituated communities that feed, groom and call within metres of the trail. Thirteen primate species share the canopy, including red colobus and grey-cheeked mangabey. The route then drops to Queen Elizabeth for savannah game drives, the Kazinga Channel boat cruise and the Ishasha tree-climbing lions. Forest walks in Bigodi wetland add over 130 bird species.
